The printer was designed to be upgraded. The back projector bracket and super speed arms have extra holes in so that we can attach a locking mechanism to keep the back projector from moving while we print.

Acer stopped manufacturing the H6510BD. This meant we needed to find a new projector for our printers. We tried a few different projectors and in the end we decided to go with the Acer H6502BD. This tutorial will explain how to install the Acer H6502BD on the current line of Gizmo printers. Future versions of the printers will already be configured for the new Acer projectors.

The projectors attach using three M3 bolts. Screw in the bolts into the projector, but not too deep. Fit the projector into the holes provided in the bracket and move the projector to the side. Tighten the bolts.

The vat heater has to be installed inside the vat on the bottom. You will have 2 clamps that screw into the vat to keep the heater in position. The cable of the heater should sit on the left side of the vat.
Please do note the heater uses high voltage at the moment. Please do not connect/disconnect the heater while the power cable is connected to the printer.
